Independent Financial Planning ServicesWhichever way clients choose to run a business, aside from obviously striving to be successful, there are endless different matters that will be encountered. Amongst these are the financial planning issues, both on a personal and a corporate level, which emanate from being in business. Recognising that clients seek financial planning advice that works cohesively with accountancy & tax advice, Warr & Co set up a financial planning division in 1997. Regulated directly by the Financial Services Authority and acting as Independent Financial Advisers (IFAs) and Independent Mortgage Brokers, our Financial Services Partners, Jeff Crewdson, Steve Prosser & Chris Raggett undertake financial planning on behalf of a wide range of clients. These include sole traders, partnerships, professional practices such as solicitors and fellow accountants, and small to medium Limited Companies. The needs of clients are inevitably expansive. Whilst not exhaustive, listed below are some of the key areas of financial planning which we undertake on behalf of clients. Mortgages / FinanceFor a variety of reasons, this represents a core part of our day to day business. There are various factors that can effect a mortgage or loan application. Whether it is a main residential mortgage, investment property facility or commercial funding that you need, we believe we have the expertise to assist clients whatever their requirements. Please visit the comprehensive mortgage section of our website for further information.
Financial ProtectionThis area of planning is often a priority for a wide number of reasons. Such planning may be undertaken for purpose of family protection, replacing previously enjoyed employment benefits, or ensuring financial stability, either on a personal or corporate basis. A major part of our activity is reviewing existing provisions, which are often inadequate or inefficient in their structure and cost. Please take a moment to visit our financial protection section of our website. Retirement PlanningWe envisage this to entail a multi-dimensional strategy rather than merely effecting a pension plan. For some of our clients pensions may not be a suitable vehicle in which to build a retirement fund. Company assets accumulation and personal investment alternatives such as Individual Savings Accounts (ISAs) & unit trusts and Venture Capital Trusts (VCTs) can play an important part in building a suitable retirement portfolio. We also regularly engage in reviews of existing policies to determine that the charges and performance of accrued pension funds are such that the client shall enjoy a healthy and prosperous retirement. Consolidation of accrued pension policies into one manageable, diversified portfolio within one plan wrapper has become a significant area upon which we advise our clients. Equally, as well as retirement funding, we engage in retirement income planning, advising clients on annuity purchase and flexible income options such as phased retirement and Unsecured Pension. Particularly in light of the post 6th April 2006 (commonly known as ‘A Day’) legislative environment, it has never been so important for clients to seek advice on their extensive range of options in retirement. More information can be seen in our retirement planning section. Investment PlanningWe are able to examine the whole spectrum of tax efficient instruments that individuals and companies are able to consider. These allow investment into a wide range of asset classes including cash deposits, fixed interest, property and equities. Being IFAs allows Warr & Co to act seriously in your interest, as we are not tied to one particular insurance company. This enables us to offer you the most competitive and appropriate terms for your particular circumstances. Whatever your circumstances, please feel free to give Jeff, Steve or Chris a call for an informal discussion. Alternatively email us on finserve@warr.co.uk with brief details and a contact number. If it is inconvenient to discuss your requirements during the day, we are more than happy to contact clients out of normal office hours.
Tim Warr regularly produces articles for clients on a variety of financial planning related matters. These are sent automatically to existing clients, however, if you are not a client at present but would like to read previous articles, please visit the article archive section of our website. Should you wish to receive these in the future, feel free to register. Equally, he also produces articles providing valuable accountancy and tax advice. |
